Ubuntu in VPS Servers
With any of our VPS servers, you will be able to decide on the Ubuntu Operating System on the order page. We are aware of the fact that some programs have specific requirements in terms of the Operating System they are set up on, so you are able to select between the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. You can also select whether your VPS should include our Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you'll find everything you will need pre-installed - MySQL, electronic mail server, FTP, etc. software, and you will be able to make everything by using your web browser, but the root access is restricted; whereas in the second case, you'll receive Ubuntu plus the Apache server software only, which means that you're able to set up anything freely thanks to the full root access which you'll be given, however the server management tasks can be performed from a console. Our system administrators can keep track of your VPS and update the Ubuntu setup on a weekly basis when you add the optional Managed Services bundle which we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is one of the OS options that you will find on our order page if you want to acquire one of our dedicated web hosting plans. We can set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, to match the system requirements of the applications which you want to set up on the server. You can also select the software that will run on your machine, due to the fact that we will install only the Apache web server software, so all else can be customized software of your liking. You will be able to set up the latter without problems from a Secure Shell console, because you'll receive root-level access and you'll have full control over your hosting server. You are free to install a web hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things through a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier, we also supply a Managed Services upgrade, that, among other things, features Operating System upgrades.
